Sticks and Bones
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
Sticks and Bones
You wake up in a pool of blood in the center of a dark hostile forest. Your limbs are badly broken or missing and you can barely move. You can hear the sounds of terrible creatures in the distance. How do you get home?
Made in 72 (and a half) hours for Mini Jam 87! The theme was Break and the limitation was that the player is a pacifist. This was a collaboration between me, my sibling Meta and my best friend CoByte!

i can't play it
Make a how to open tutorial
довольно хорошая мрачная игрушка было приятно играть.
man i love this game. this have a story?
It's horrifying,
just perfect.
For some reason I can't run it normally, Java is there, the latest version, but the game starts, but for a very long time, and then in the menu, and the game freezes tightly. What's the trouble?
game has a cool concept but having a random chance difficulty added with enemies that can attack faster than you can react is frustrating and leaves you rolling a dice whether you can pass by undetected
i finish by chance and brute forcing it, like i said a great concept but needs more restructuring
i hope to see more from you.
Very intresting game, almost a hour of my life i was distracted by this masterpice.
Got to the part where creatures will randomly come out of the forest and after dying to it 3 times in a row I just quit.
Upon checking Rodayai's playthrough I saw the sound mechanic can be used to divert them but that's not really apparent seeing as how larger creatures previously couldn't care less about the noises you make (outside of making them try to kill you.)
I like the concept but important mechanics shouldn't be left up to accidentally discovering and maybe implement a checkpointed continue option so people won't have to start all the way from the start if they need a break. I know it's not a long game but people don't know that going in.
Thanks for the feedback.
I admit, we were not expecting players to have difficulty figuring out the Stalkers, but in hindsight that makes sense given other creatures reactions to sound. I’ll go ahead and add a line suggesting that sound may help against Stalkers.
As for saving… I don’t really feel like it’s worth the effort to implement such a complicated feature in a three minute long jam game.
Anyways, very cool game. I liked the noise mechanic, not that it's something I haven't seen before, but still liked it a lot. Good job!
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it!
